This ultrasonic welding machine is designed for attaching ePTFE film onto controller of battery packing of electrical motor automotive in automatic operation.

Complete machine is designed and manufactured to combining with customer’s automatic line. The design and manufacturing meet the standard of cleanroom. EPTFE welder applies high frequency ultrasonic welding system to weld PETFE film onto plastic parts.

III. Critical Technology-MP Sonic Precision Ultrasonic Welding Control

The welding of ePTFE is in big challenge, less welding, over weld or uneven welding are common issues, that because ePTFE is in little thickness (the mostly is 10 – 50 μm), thus the welding of it requests strictly in precision control and stability. It requests accurate control to the ultrasonic amplitude control, ultrasonic energy control working on ePTFE film as well as the motion & force.

MP Sonic developed high-precision ultrasonic control system performs optimized welding to ePTFE. It applies high speed industrial CPU with great calculation ability to process huge data in complex condition with MP Sonic developed program, by which ultrasonic system supervises welding state and make intime adjustment accordingly to welding parameter including amplitude, energy, welding depth and motion speed, welding force, to ensure proper welding to ePTFE material.

1. What does it apply 35kHz or 40kHz ultrasonic system to weld ePTFE?

Because PETFE is in very little thickness, 35~40Khz can ensure efficiency melting to machine on the other hand protect material from damage by big amplitude of ultrasonic.

2. What kind of ultrasonic horn is used for ePTFE welding, titanium, aluminum or steel?

Titanium or steel.

3. What is the welding cycle?

Normally 0.1~0.2S.
