The 2025 Hydrogen Storage Tank Industry Conference grandly opened in Suzhou. With the theme of “Innovation-Driven, Hydrogen Storage for the Future”, this conference gathered over 500 hydrogen energy industry chain enterprises, scientific research institutions and industry experts from around the world to jointly discuss the latest progress, industrial application and market prospects of hydrogen storage tank technology, and help promote the high-quality development of China’s hydrogen energy industry.

At the conference, detailed speeches were made on the inner liner production process of IV-type hydrogen storage tanks and the material requirements for hydrogen storage tanks. It was pointed out that hydrogen storage tanks require professional plastics with high barrier properties, hydrogen embrittlement resistance, high strength, and compliance with high and low temperature requirements. Moreover, the materials need to undergo hydrogen compatibility tests such as hydrogen aging and hydrogen permeation tests.
